MedTrans Go Awarded as a TAG Top 10 Innovative Company!

MedTrans Go has been recognized as one of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG)’s Top 10 Innovative Companies of 2025! TAG acknowledged MedTrans Go’s mission, disruptive technology, and positive financial impact on the healthcare industry by selecting our company as one of the Top 40 Innovative Companies in Georgia, granting us a spot to exhibit alongside the other Top 40 companies at the Georgia Tech Summit on April 16th.

In addition, MedTrans Go was also awarded an honored spot amongst the Top 10 Innovative Companies of 2025, a shortlist reserved for companies with “exceptional vision and execution.” With this distinction, our CEO Dana Weeks had the opportunity to present the MedTrans Go solution to the entire conference on the big stage of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Hall.

TAG TOP 10 PRESENTATION - The MedTrans Go Mission

To a symphony of her own, Dana wove the story how we began when our co-founder, Dr. Obi Ugwonali, experienced back-to-back surgical cancellations, which resulted in hundreds of thousands in lost revenue for his clinic in a single day. What caused these cancellations? An inefficient process to order reliable patient transportation and interpretation services on-demand.

Across the healthcare industry, medical facilities, non-emergency medical transporters (NEMTs), and medical interpreters are often disconnected from one another, requiring time-consuming amounts of manual communication. For example, coordinating transportation for patients often requires medical staff to call multiple NEMT companies just to schedule a ride before then calling again to inquire about the status of said ride. Sometimes staff must even wait long hours (sometimes days) for the proper NEMT vehicle equipped to transport their patient to arrive.

Beyond losses in revenue and staff time, unreliable transportation and interpretation also contributes to worsening patient outcomes, for which Georgia is already facing a crisis. In 2023, Forbes ranked Georgia as the overall worst state for healthcare outcomes based on access to care, number and distribution of physicians, and cost of care.

From this scene, enter MedTrans Go: an easy-to-use healthtech platform that makes ordering customized and reliable transportation, interpretation, or medical delivery for patients efficient and transparent.

We reenvisioned this process for both the healthcare providers and service partners (transporters and interpreters). Simply by entering key patient details, our algorithm matches the request to the best partner at the best cost. And from within our portal, healthcare providers have visibility across the entire patient journey through our status updates and live driver tracking, alongside breakthrough data dashboards to visualize their savings from using MedTrans Go.

A slide outlining MedTrans Go's impact, text reads: 20+ states served, 8,800+ patients provided with quality service, 17,700+ completed service requests, and HIPAA and SOC 2 compliant tech

Our solution has far-reaching benefits across health care. While we started with surgery centers, the need for a reliable way to secure these patient services quickly extended to other use cases across health care: hospitals (improving patient throughput), clinical trials, government spaces, physical rehabilitation clinics, personal injury law firms, and more.

DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

With the pitches presented and the votes cast, the leaders of the Top 10 companies aligned under the stage’s glow. Dennis Zakkas, CEO of Getrecz, ripped open the glossed envelope, revealing the results…
